He wore a sweater. It was pulled all the way up to his chin.
It was Gucci, I’m sure of it. It may have been lightweight cashmere or cable-knit angora, you know the kind that feels soft against the skin. But it was so last season, it was laughable! I’d say it was teal blue or was it aquamarine? Possibly turquoise. Perhaps azure? No,wait, definitely cyan! Is that the same as sapphire?
She paused as the detective raised his hand wearily, ‘Lady, when I asked for a detailed summary of the assailant’s clothes, this isn’t quite what I meant.’

Hehe. Nice one !
Lol caught me with that one..
Thank you!
Ha ha ha, that must have been hilarious to watch!
Ha ha, all will be revealed tomorrow!
I know. I doubt I’d have been able to say anything after being attacked π
Why, thank you! Much appreciated π
Yeah tell me how that one went with the teacher π
Thank you, thank you π
Precisely! Just tell the man what he wants π
Good question. We’ll never know π
Thank you π
Thanks Manisha π
Thank you, Jessica!
I won’t disagree with that π
Coming from you, that’s an honour π Thanks Asha!
Hahaha I love the twist! That was excellent. You write humour so well xx
Hehehe, I could so be this lady! π
Great twist!
Jessica @ Simply Infatuated
Different shades of blue. π Loved the twist in the end.
ha ha π
I know a lot of people whom I can relate to this !!
Wonderful twist ..
I Loved the ending π
I wonder if they caught him after that. π
Fashionistas would make bad witnesses to anything, I can see that happening.
hehe.. smart one π
You and Shilpa are nailing it with smart twists in the flash fiction category. π
A detailed summary! Poor lady. She didn’t know realise that the assailant could have changed from his Gucci sweater into Nike sportswear anytime after committing the crime π All her observations were of no use!
I haven’t really thought about this oxymoron, though I may have encountered it so many times during examinations! For example, give a detailed summary about the French Revolution. ?
She took her job a bit too seriously! She should be given a medal for knowing so many shades of blue! π π Quite a detailed summary it was!
Are you going for F for fabulous? Because I continue to be impressed every day by your short tales
The detective’s nightmare! I once remember seeing a show where an investigation is going on, and the person they’re interrogating simply looks at a picture on the wall and describes it accurately and when the person sketching it finishes, they realize she’s duped them.
Nice detailed summary!
She memorized all shades of blue. Good one. Great use of oxymoron.
50 shades of blue! π
Nice one – Detailed Summary indeed!
ha ha! awesome! loved it π That oxymoron was so good and isn’t that phrase used a lot?
Lol! I see that woman in me! I say too much π
Cheers
I bet she is a knitter! Very funny story.
Couldn’t stop laughing. Very well done.
Despair #Lexicon of Leaving
He he.. that was quite a take. Very interesting. ? It was a funny detailed summary! Very clever.. ?
Haha! That was hilarious! π Superb!
Hilarious!!!
Hahaha! That was interesting and so funny! Detailed summary indeed π
Ha.. Probably she chose the wrong profession. She could have been a writer π She likes describing so much!
Lol ? This left me laughing!! Definitely wasnβt what I expected!
Haha hilarious indeed. And this shades of blue ..i never do get them right.
That was funny. Technically she is right. The poor detective didn’t expect such a detailed summary! Good one, Shailaja.
I am following your micro fictions this month, Shailaja, even though I’m not commenting on all of the posts know that I’m here enjoying them all. π
Haha, oh man! That was a funny one.
Reminded me of the movies “The Devil wears Prada” and “Legally Blonde”. Have you seen them? Funny one Shailaja….Brought a smile
This brought a smile, Shailaja!
Ah! Colours! Even I find myself looking for the exact name of the shade:):)
God or Devil is in the details?
Haha, that last line really cracked me up!
Debbie
Love the way your mind works, and takes your readers right with it as well. My next activity is going to be googling and checking for those colors you know ;). Nicely done!
Hahaha she surely loved her clothes ?? loved the ending.
She’s a good detective. She good an eye for observation. Nice one. <3
Haha, some people like giving too much information! Nice light post Shailaja π
LOL. Exasperating human! Especially because I don’t understand colors outside of the regular red, blue, green, basic ones.
P.S. Sorry for only showing up now. In my defense, I had a pretty nasty fall from a flight of stairs at home, and was mostly bedridden for the last 2 days. Had an x-ray appointment today, but results aren’t out yet, so have to wait it out.
Will go and look up your A, B and C now (okay, once I typed it out, the last sentence sounds odd, but you get what I mean). π
Hahaha!! Women can be so detail-oriented! Loved the confusion she had with deciding the color. And ofcourse the detective’s plight π
And here I am, yet to write my post for “C”, when the whole world has moved on to D.
