Samantha fought to control the jitters as she waited for her name to be called.
Sitting by her side, Andy squeezed her hand, ‘You can do this.’
But could she?
‘Samantha Jenkins, please take the stand.’
It was time. Walking unsteadily she reached the witness stand and turned to face the bailiff. As she placed her hand on the Bible, a voice from her past echoed ‘Thou shalt not bear false witness‘.
Looking straight at the defendant she was about to put away for life with a single false fact, she swallowed hard. Guess there’s a first time for everything.

As long as she can live with the nagging guilt for the rest of her life. You bring up so many emotions in a few words, it is commendable.
Imagine living with that guilt for the rest of her life! Unless she didn’t feel guilty, of course! False fact, nice one!
