In cold shock, he watched her fall towards the ground. Not in his wildest dreams would he have imagined that this day would come.
She’d been a special part of his existence for a very long time. His relationship with her had been a carefully guarded secret at first.Then, slowly, he started telling people about her. He wasn’t exactly ashamed of her, but he knew that people would look at him askance.
“Are you sure this is what you want to do?” said one.
“I don’t see this going on for too long. You’re a fickle chap,” said his uncle.
But he had been determined to see it through.
After six months, he moved to the next stage. His closest advisors warned him that it was too soon, but he didn’t listen.
Now, he wondered if they had been right.
The very first IPO and his beloved company, Gravedad* , was plummeting. Her points were sinking steadily on the large display board of the Stock Exchange.
Perhaps he should have picked a different name. Gravity just sounded right at the time.
