Here’s your bag of doughnuts, Maria.

I picked up your laundry today.

Can I get you coffee?

The workers all stopped at Maria’s cubicle, plying her with attention. The new intern, Eugene, observed it all with amusement. Nudging an older colleague, Jay, he jerked his head in Maria’s direction, ‘What’s with the Godmother? Are we her slaves?’

‘SSHH! Not so loud.’

  1. That was scary. Hope Eugene didn’t become the victim. This oxymoron reminded me of my HoD. He used to say, ‘it’s an open secret’ all the time ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. Ooh! Maria has mind-reading abilities ! And she’s a real witch! She has to be from Hogwarts! ๐Ÿ˜€

This oxymoron is so cool! Known secrets are the best ones, and it’s amusing to watch the expression of the people who don’t know the secrets that others know ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. Oh poor Eugene, said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Hopefully he has learnt his lesson. The only question that remains is, what did it cost him? ๐Ÿ˜›

  4. The first word that came to my mind was HEX! Only you could combine a regular workplace with Salem Witch elements. Bravo!

  5. You know, this reminded me of ‘The devil wears Prada’, where Meryl Streep plays just the kind of woman who can put a curse on people who don’t bow down before her!
